• Healthier Living Workshop - In conjunction with Fletcher Allen Health Care, St. Catherine's is hosting a free workshop, to help people to better manage living with a chronic condition, such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, or chronic pain. • Contemplative Prayer Group - At the heart if Christianity is the contemplative path, a means to deepen our union with God. • ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE CURSILLO MOVEMENT? The Cursillo experience is a chance to strengthen your relationship with Christ. Participants meet for a weekend to share and deepen the presence of Christ in their lives. • St. Catherine's Parish Library -All parishioners are invited to browse and borrow from the variety of materials in our Parish Resource Library, located in the Parish Hall. • Do you know Our Lady of Ephesus? On October 23, at 7:30 p.m., Mary Tarinelli will speak about Our Lady's last days in Ephesus, Turkey, where Pope Benedict recently visited. Mary is the daughter of the local woman who had an apparition of Our Lady at Ephesus

• Treat Yourself to Some Spiritual Words of Wisdom. There are a variety of topics to choose from on the CD rack in the back of the Church. "The Spirit of Sacrifice in the Family" by Father Benedict Groeschel is highly recommended by Kathleen Finn. "The writings of this wise, humble and funny priest are some of my all time favorites. It is a treat to hear him deliver his message."
  
  
• Do You Know Someone Who May Wish to Become a Catholic? R.C.I.A. sessions will take place at Saint John Vianney Church in South Burlington, beginning September 26, for those who wish to join the Catholic Church. Adult Catholics who wish to receive their First Communion or Confirmation are also welcomed. To register or for more information, please speak with Father Michael.

• Parish Religious Education Program (PREP): We are still in need of more willing hearts to assist with our religious education program! Classes began in September. Please call Marie Cookson at 802-434-4782 for more information and to volunteer!
  
  
• Coffee Socials : Can you help with our Coffee Hour socials? Helpers are needed to start the coffee prior to the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Masses and to serve. Please call LynnAnn Prom at 985-5212.
  
  
• Can You Help? We hope to continue necessary upgrades at the rectory: visitor bathroom on the first floor, office improvements, etc. If you can help us with any amount, it would be most appreciated!
  
  
• "Looking after your neighbors' well being is a matter of both compassion and social justice": Parishioners who live alone are invited to be a part of a "Telephone Reassurance" ministry. If you are interested in receiving a phone call each day to check on you, please call Geraldine (Jerry) Weiss, coordinator, at 985-0125. This is a chance to be connected to people who care about you each morning. It isn't necessary to be a parishioner - perhaps you have a friend or relative in the nearby area who might also be interested.
