It Only Takes One
Those
whom we seek to serve come our way but once as youth.
Let us neglect none, for among them may be the one
through whom God will change the world.

Think not of the legions of children you have taught or will teach, but think of just ONE - one face, one child for whom you may never know the good that you do.
There will be ONE child (maybe more, but there will certainly be ONE) for whom you will be the life-altering force in his life. For that ONE child, it is you who will be the way to Christ. It is your faith, your values, and your love against which she will measure all others.
And because of your influence on that ONE child, greatness may be found. It may be through this ONE child that God will change the world forever.
And while you're thinking about your influence on that ONE child, allow for the possibility that you will meet ONE (maybe more, but at least one) who will change your life forever. A child who will teach you more than you could ever teach him.
As you prepare for your next class, remember that there is at least ONE set of eyes watching everything you do and fail to do, ONE set of ears listening to everything you say and fail to say, and ONE heart that will be forever changed because you came into her life.
You may never know which
child is the ONE you will touch like no other, but all the teaching you will
ever do is worth the effort for that ONE child.
