A SPECIAL NOTE:
First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation
In addition to our Family Faith Formation program, 2nd grade students are given the opportunity to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation & Holy Communion. Likewise, 6th grade students and older are given the opportunity to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. For the opportunity to receive these sacraments, it is assumed that the student has been receiving catechism in the year prior. Please feel free to contact Matthew Sulva with any questions.
At St. Catherine of Siena Parish we refer to our Religious Education Program as Faith Formation.

Welcome to St. Catherine of Siena parish! Our parish offers a “Family Faith Formation” model for our youth religious education curriculum. Our registered families gather one Sunday a month for three separate classes: K-3rd graders, 4-6th graders, and adults (which includes young adults, parents/guardians, and other parishioners). These classes are followed by a community supper. For all other Sundays of the month, the registered parents/guardians are given home lessons to lead the catechesis of their children. These home lessons are produced by the program Family Formation.
Registration for this program starts in the summer and ends by October. If your family would like to find opportunities to be involved in youth ministry but are not registered, please reach out to Matthew Sulva at msulva@vermontcatholic.org. Families who are not registered are still welcome to attend the monthly Sunday evening sessions (as outlined above). The dates for these monthly Sunday sessions are published in our St. Catherine’s bulletin and via our parish Flocknotes.
